Singapore Legal Hire

So if your parent is a Singaporean and passes away outside Singapore then to claim the estate/property/assets under his/her name is complicated even if you are the legal hire.

Even if you are his wife and the CPF savings is transferred to you, the other assets won't be transferred to you.

You have to get a letter of prebate or adminstration and apply to the Singapore court and get it authorised. It is an expensive and long process.
